New album

Greetings Friends and Neighbors! If you enjoyed my debut CD, A Single Step, thank you so much for giving it a chance and taking a listen. John Mulrenan and I put a lot of work in and I was pleased with the final product. Not perfect but a good first effort I thought.

Now, armed with a bunch of new songs, I am heading back into the studio to create album #2, which I promise will have a spiffier name than Album #2.

Of course recording takes money. I was able to raise about 15% (nearly $800) of my total costs for A Single Step via a GoFundMe page I set up at the suggestion of a friend. The other 90% of my production cost came out of pocket. So while I remain forever grateful to all those who contributed, If I have to do that ratio again it may be a LONG time before this baby gets recorded and released to the public!

Due to my financial limitations we had to cut some corners to produce the first album. Primarily, we used mostly electronic horns. It gave you the idea I was going for but is not a sufficient substitute for live players. And so, regardless of cost, this time around I am bringing in not only horn players, but other musicians as well. It's too soon to name names but I have a line of wonderful professional musicians ready to contribute their skills once we get rolling. "Professional musicians" means they get paid for their work.  And so my production costs will be higher than the first album.

Which brings me to the BIG ASK. If you would like to support my efforts to create my next album, please consider donating if you are able. In a perfect world I could raise $10,000.  I am trusting that the universe will provide what I need to produce a great album. Thank you in advance for anything you are able to donate.
